Pat - When you say to use the Autozone/Carquest coils with the 6AL, are you talking about the older analog box or the newer digital box? What is the downside to using the blaster2? Thanks, Phil

The coils I mentioned are for the MSD 6series analog boxes, the Blaster II's ( cylinder style) heat soak quick and loose performance once that happens. The TFI style coils don't heat soak and have solid output for any length of time of use. The coil for best effort for the MSD 6al2 boxes would be the MSD 8253 coil. When your trying to run an index or the same every pass then a drifting coil is not what you want. I hope this helps.
Thanks Pat, I appreciate the info. Phil

Pat, this is what I have used for a long time, (6al, blaster 2). Will this coil heat up fast enough to hurt performance just from driving thru pits and doing burnout? If so where would you see it(start to 8th or 8th to 1/4)??
