In the April 1966 Super Stock Magazine,
the editors gave the 1966 Comet Cyclone GT the 'Performance Award'.

They tested the car at Daytona International Speedway.
A 4-Speed car with a wide-ratio transmission and 3.50 gears.

Performance Results: 14.40 @ 96 MPH
Ahhh yes but they can use the 428 CJ carb and the larger 428 cam that was never avaliable stock when new in todays stock racing.

Mr. X,,,

Todays Stock Class,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,not Stock,,,,,,
Not sure what it should be called,,,,,,,,

Maybe,,,,,,, Modified Stock,,,,,,,,or 'Trick Stock',,,,,,,

Remember the days when you could only use factory steel wheels on the car,,,,,,,,,and if you put on mag wheels, they had to weigh at least the same weight as the factory steel units.
