I believe the Bob Lambeck Dart was an
original LO23 purchased by one Jon Hooper, out of Tulsa, Oklahoma. pc |

Is this a current photo or a old one of Bob Lambeck's 68 Hemi Dart ( ex-Jon Hooper car) because the rumor is that the car recently sold...this is what the car looked like before.

I was not aware that he had two. I never asked Bob and he never mentioned a second car. The wheelstanding car posted earlier in this thread is this car. This is the only LO dart I have seen him race other than when he drove the Landy cars. Any pics of the second car?

Notice the roof paint and the Car Craft decals on the side glass...so was this one of Landys 68 Hemi Darts converted into a 70 model....we know it wasn't #859 so was #866 converted or did he convert someone else's old race car.

Dick told me he converted THE stick car,#859, which I never understood, considering it was in my shop & I KNOW it never had the quarters messed with as a conversion to 1970. Don't believe it was the auto, #866 car, either cause it doesn't "look" like it was done, but not owning it I can't say for sure. My guess is that he converted another stick car he had owned at one time. Dick had a log book of all the cars he owned including serial numbers of them. That's how he documented mine. Sure would be interesting to be able to see that book today huh??? liteweight Last edited by Liteweight; 11-16-2011 at 12:43 PM. |

Here's another shot of Bob Lambeck's L023 68 Hemi Dart running in Pro with a 69 grill...someone said he had two of these cars.
