BOY, this is the way for an old man to the blood going on an early Saturday morning. Did not expect to see this on Stock/Superstock. Those were truly the days. The first time my son saw a front engine his comment was "why would you sit there?". Thanks for posting this. That old blown 392 sittin' there just puffing sure does bring back a lot of memories. Those sounds and sites I can almost feel that engine hit sittin' here in my recliner.
When we have the cackle fest at reunion in Henderson, NC each year we start out with Stock/SuperStock, work through the Gassers and top it off with front engine, blown top fuel. The crowd just moves down the street as the show continues. |

"Big Daddy" has always been one of my favorites, I was about 40 feet away from him when his car came to a stop the last time he flipped over in Spokane when it was AHRA. I was just a little guy then and he waved to me and my bro as he got out of the wreck, Before he left the track he even signed my hat. Sure miss the old time 'PRO's', thanx for sharing the video, my 1 year old enjoyed it too
