Rockers came in today. Slicks will be here end of the week.
I still have my SS engine and it will follow after I get this D/S thing going again; no later than March. So one day I will just drop the SS engine in and see what happens. It will be better than the 10.ohs I'm sure. Just squaring up the chassis has to be worth something! (the left front leaf spring torque box was hammered up into the interior by about 1 1/2").

Yes...I can play in C/S, D/S & E/S. C/S that's where all the 428CJ's hang, isn't it?

if these guys don't talk me out of it (class racing in general), 67 american 290/4speed destined for somewhere around n or m stock stick...

i WAS gonna do a 6cyl (232) but i couldn't see having a bellhousing made plus the 3 speed that's in 'em (no 4 speed available) ain't much and few and far between..
Dwight has given me more info about the engine than anybody (i owe ya )...
will it be a top runner?
probably not on MY budget...
i don't see a jerico in my future but ya never know....

don't even talk auto....

The 258 2 barrel is a much easier combo to work with and you can run a 4 speed with most combinations. Will easily run 1.2 under in V, 1 under in U or T.

232/2bbl was as big as it got in 67...
