I don't need to test for a poorly prepared track , and I should not have to tune my car for a unsafe track . It is the responsibility of the track to prepare the track with safety in mind as well as great traction . I have just about quit testing and tune as the last 40 or so times the track is junk for my car , maybe not junk for a bracket car , or maybe a clutch car who can slip the clutch ,but for the higher HP cars test and tune is a waste most of the time

I don't post alot but I would like to add on this topic. I come from both sides, I have raced in Stock in IHRA and worked at a race track for over 20 years. I am now GM at Piedmont and I promise you track prep is a top priority at our track. #1 we want our customer happy and enjoy the experience of test & test and #2 safety of our participates means you must have a good prep. Tracks that are not preping on a test and tune is not good. Every time you open the gates you should treat you patrons the same as if you have pro mods running or a guy driving up in his new mustang. When we have our pro am in March test and tune will be not be $100.00. That gouging your patrons. I feel $20.00 is fine. On our normal nights Test & tune cost $10.00 plus $10.00 to get in the gate. Come race with us next year.

Here, they have a TNT every Wednesday night for $20. Street tire cars run a seperate lanes from the slick tire cars. Unless theres a stick car or front wheel drive car with slicks, there are no bald spots in the slick tire car lane.
