My interest in stockers was spurred by my neighbor's car, SS&DI's Project Six Pack. Ted happened to buy a car that was about as cool as it gets for the time. Mike and Terry turned out to be the other 2/3's that was needed. (Though Stafford uu and Lovett have their place, which I don't remember as well.) I was just a kid. Well, I still am...

It was never lost. Ted Struse.....the original owner took it with him when he moved out west. He bracket raced it some with a large engine then it was restored as it appears in the photos.

Forget hemi 'Cudas. This was the best, baddest, daily driver Ma Mopar ever put on the street.
Harry Harrison, of Thunder Speed in Beacon, N.Y. had one, called it "yellow Brick Road" for some reason.

I was working for a dealer in late 68,69 and had a Hemi Road Runner on order. I was able to pay $100 extra and it was to be painted a fleet color. While waiting for the factory to schedule some cars in Omaha Orange we received the info on the 6BBL, I quickly cancelled my order and changed to the 6 BBL. The main reason was the warranty, but the fact that they now offered the same color mine would no longer be unique. I kind of wish I had kept that order as a special color Hemi 69 would be a rare piece today.I had Corneilson speed shop in Corning Iowa do a partial blueprint ,replaced the clutch ,Hooker headers, 4;56gears,I won my class at a points meet at Cornhusker in Omaha ,Probably in 1970. It is currently in Holland Michigan ,way nicer than it was new.

I was searching the Internet for another A12 car when suddenly I see my old A12 car here. Couldn't pass on this website and just joined this evening. These pictures bring back the good times and this great car.

Thank you.

YES it was the "Bahama" or "Butterscotch" called in the day. The colors were Chevron colors as one of there dealers sponsored the car and kept it in one empty bay if not loaded on the trailer for T&T or racing for 6 months out of the year in Colorado.

I ran its down in 2002 in AZ, the ad showed all but the last three Vin Numbers. I still had the original information along with Vin No. Called the dealer as I thought there was a mistake in pricing (wishful thinking), it was correct. Provided the gentleman the information I had on the car and asked how they could ask such a high price for my old less than $4K vehicle? It had been completely restored by a professional Mopar shop, made like new at $40,000. He informed me that there was a sizable deposit on the car just waiting for bank to bank transfer of difference. It sold for $105,995.00 which even today sounds like a heck of a price for an A12 car? If the wife won't find out I would have sold a bunch of toys to have it come home !@#$%^... Dealer won't tell me who or where it went.
