You either ran a Hemi, a Max or a Six Pak car, not easy for the average racer to afford or put together, and the motor that was the most plentiful and cheap couldn't even be considered. Every dog has it's day and I guess ours has finally come. If these heads turn out to be worth more than 5 HP and I think they will, NHRA wont turn their heads like they did with the new cars, they'll slam us hard.
Paul, if you can't be deadly fast with factory heads after 35 hp has been taken off, you need to find something else to do.

Jeff.....the Edelbrock 60917 must be correct because they are listed in Summit's website and they describe them as having straight plugs.....

Thumbs up Re: Mopar Got Heads

60917 is the correct number for the Edelbrock heads and they have straight plugs as OEM.

Thanks NHRA!!

Edelbrock made the changes to the performer casting to suit NHRA. They will be straight plug And closed chamber. With the correct valve you can bring them to 69 cc with no problem. They will accommodate all of the combos with ease.

I have an order for 10 pairs,Edelbrock is going to let me know by friday as to when they will start production, i wil let you guys know what they say.

This should get interesting, any idea what the 60917 casting is going to cost Erik?

The ED castings are around the same as we were paying for the Iron 287 head.
