The common mod for an Olds is to go from the 2.5" stock crank pin to 2.2" BBC size. The smaller big end of the rod also helps with cam lobe clearance with strokes longer than 4.25" on the Olds.

You are correct.

IF I was building a Super Stock car,I would take one of the many 425 cranks that I have and do just that!
