Talking Re: Kaboom!

I would agree to keep it stock but by who's rules . Right now NHRA has weight breaks for the cars . As I stated above keep NHRA for now , dont give the mopars a weight break or anyone else. Race them and see what happens .

Giving the mopars a weight break for their car's and not giving the CJ428 or 352 a weight break does not seem fair .

If a weight break is fair for the mopars then it should be fair for the fords or just leave it alone and race them under NHRA weight's and be done with it .

Bo if someone races the new class from North Carolina you might want to check the car for nitrous.

Can this be the beginning of the salvation for SS/STK?
A 100 % heads up race is definetely not The salvation of SS/STk.

Super Stock would much easier on ADRL to tech. I'm sure they pump the winning cars but can anyone see them doing a complete Stock teardown? I hear it takes new specialty tools to check the overhead cams on the Mustangs.

With S/S the cars would be faster for the show and current new model stockers have most items legal for S/S anyway.

This cracked me up:

“I think the new factory hot rods are the Cobra Jets and equivalent.” Kershaw told CompetitionPlus.com earlier this month. “The fans love them for the same reason they loved the Pro Stockers when Bob Glidden was so successful for us, they look like real cars and their performance is awe inspiring with factory hardware. The fan can relate to a car that has the same body and engine parts as the car they see at the Ford dealer. Stock Eliminator is poised to be the new battleground."

Well, yeah Mr. Kershaw. Except for one thing. Ford won't even put a street legal production car in the stock car classification guide.

Bill, Musgrave and Sullivan were from Fairfield IL., Alderman is from Morehead, KY. Alderman had a problem but it was nose related.

I live in the only county in Kentucky that has a bayou in it.

My point gentlemen was that this opportunity may generate some interest in SS/STK in people other than the participants of this forum.
The ADRL may if it proves popular provide a more racer friendly racing environment with relevant purses.
The NHRA doesn't seem too interested.
