My point gentlemen was that this opportunity may generate some interest in SS/STK in people other than the participants of this forum.
The ADRL may if it proves popular provide a more racer friendly racing environment with relevant purses.
The NHRA doesn't seem too interested.

Jeff,

Before I start complaining, I want to say how I think this is a great idea and thank you and everyone involved for creating a new playground for us. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

What is the story with the weights. Obviously a 5.7 can't weigh the same as a 6.4 or a 428. When can we expect to hear officially what the final weights are?

Is there a rule book somewhere?
Will the Pro Tree be 4 or 5 tenths?
Will it be a Pro ladder?
Who will be checking the internals of the engines?

Thats pretty funny right there. DP and shoestring budget shouldn't be in the same sentence. Not in my type of shoe string budget anyway.

Harry, on the surface that would seem to be true. I have sold several to people who were doing a different program; a budget car figured to take 2 or more years and one or two of them are out already, and I know of two that will appear this year. One thing these folks have benefited from is the research and development done since then. These glitches are now mostly known, different parts are available to fix them or simply speed up the car, make them leave, new parts are becoming available quite often now etc. so it has, in my opinion, made the task a little easier. There is something to be said about racing a brand new car.
