If you run an electronic(ie MSD) ignition, it has been reported that many "dial back" timing lights have accuracy issues.... I like the "self powered" lights, like the Flaming River unit.

Been using my Snap On digital dial back light for over 20 years with MSD ignitions without issue. Last year I bought a self powered MSD timing light and it reads exactly the same as the Snap On.
