In the face of compelling logic NHRA will probably boost the SS quota, remember; they did at Gainesville.
(I know my wording will give some a laugh but sometimes they actually seem to care!)

I spoke of this quota thing about two weeks ago on here. It just still is happening, and it will probably continue. It appears that NHRA is not concerned about the sportsman side of things when it comes to Stock and Super Stock. The Super categories appear to be OK, but with the introduction of Top Sportsman & Top Dragster it seems that things are a changing.

Now it is at 70, just like Gainesville. What is going through their heads when they set this quota at the original 55. Is this an experiment of some sort? It would be nice if there were a logical explanation. Does anyone out there no what the logic behind this is? Even the grade point system is a failure if the quota is at 55.

There were only 47 super stock cars at the event last year. Maybe whoever did the quotas didn't know there was class this year.
Stock only had 59 cars last year with class. -Toby |

Maybe us Stock & Super Stock racers are doing the handwriting on the wall. Still do not like the low quotas, especially with a slow economy
Ron Ortiz U/SA maybe I am thinking
