Workin'.... been trying to upload pics to my Facebook page. Phone's fightin' me. Delivered decals for a bunch of customers, installed a couple, and put together a 4'x8' Redline Speed Shop sponsor sign for Fayetteville's winner's circle on the floor of reigning Div. 9 Super Stock Champion Robbie Draughon's trailer.

Based on the early forecast, I thought it was supposed to be hot today! Turned out to be cool and overcast much of the day, with a fair cross-tail wind -- something you don't often get at Rockingham. Did some impromptu driving school sessions, and was a useless bystander while Tim Sloan discovered and worked toward replacing a cracked trans cooler line.

When I came in this morning, they explained to me that they were not selling 1-day spectator tickets, and that I had to buy a 2-day pass (plus a $10 parking pass) for a total of $50, and then if I left by 9pm, they would refund me $20. If I wasn't delivering decals, and was "just" a fan, I probably would've turned around and left. I headed out at 8:47pm, and was informed by the guy at the gate that he was just a security guy, and the girls had packed up at 8pm, and he couldn't help me. I guess I'm paid up for tomorrow, so maybe I'll go back and try to make myself useful in some respect.

Larry had sold the motor that was in the car when someone "wanted it more than he did", and went back to his trusty Production combo. In early testing the other week, a massive wheelstand led to a cracked windshield and other collateral damage. He got it settled down a bit this week with an -.897 under 5.60 in the 1/8th, good for the #3 Qualifying position.

Brandon Peterson was another one who's been working on things. His GT/FA Camaro performed better after a converter swap.

Winner's circle photos were taken on the starting line. It was a deathtrap for shoes! Do not stand in one place for very long, or you WILL get stuck, as Kevin Riner found out!

I left an impression on Rockingham.

Bob,

Here is a link from Darlington in 2010. It wouldn't let me upload just his picture, but maybe you will enjoy the others also.

Haven't been able to hook up with them this year. I'll be in Jackson, SC in couple of weeks, so hopefully he will come there. It's a little bit of a pull, but if not, maybe somewhere in NC this year, either IHRA 2 or 9.

Standard disclaimer, "I'm no Toby Lang..." but I hope y'all enjoy some Stock and Super Stock coverage from the 2012 IHRA Summit Pro-Am at Rockingham Dragway!
