Mack, I had a similar problem.....it got repaired, reinforced, painted again(3rd time for the hood I think)......which I thought was going to be the risk-free black hood thing instead of painted like yours.....NOT!

Now we know why the 2011 are a stock aluminum hood.....too bad they didn't do the DP with a real hood with a metal hood scoop and gasp hood hinges!

The wind risk when the hood is on the roof is stressful.

Thanks Eric.... Plan to get in touch with my painter on Tuesday and see what his schedule is... I also voiced my opinion on these hoods before mine even got on the track...

So will get it fixed and hopefully right this time.......

I would love to have a stock hood with the hinges and all..... But we play the hand we have..

It appears they are held in place with 3M body panel structural adhesive.

It sure is, but there is no guarantee that the loaner will run the index.
