I think since a select few CRIED about altitude tracks and got the % changed on the correction factors for a few tracks its time to start sending letters to NHRA about Records being set at National Opens with Bogus Conditions and maybe NHRA should do a reverse factor for tracks with a Sealevel or below condition with a 31 Bar. whats fair is fair right !! : )

I agree 100%. but don't stop there. Make the ahfs system on the same sliding scale.
We know darn well they can do it. They check the temperature of the fuel don't they?

Well, I started this thread, so I might as well add some fuel to the fire...LOL... In yesteryear the final round counted as a record run. Right or wrong??? If nothing less, it helped eliminate the "soft combos"....it kind of worked like the AFS today. What about any "heads up" run in a National Event triggers a National Record (and tear down)....again, for conversation purposes only.

Smile Re: Best place to set record

At the right time, when the barometer tips slightly above 30.05 and first session in the morning at either Woodburn Oregon, Seattle Washington or Mission British Columbia, it can be mind boggling. I have been there at all three tracks here in Division Six. All three tracks are within about 175 ft of sea level with lots of oxygen in the air. All the time and effort you put into your combo is rewarded and the fix you get from drag racing lasts well into the next week. Ha Ha.

Cool Re: Best place to set record

How do you guys feel about someone's hard earned, well deserved, national record being wiped out by the "minimum" after a length of time goes by? I have no dog in this fight, but I always thought a record should stand until its truly broken by a quicker or faster car. My 2 cents.
