Just my opinion, they had about what I expected except I did think they would have had a few more stock and super stock. They should concentrate their efforts in places they know they can draw cars unless they want to continue to loose their a*#. IHRA could have that race at Rockingham or any number of tracks on the east coast and draw twice as many cars. I don't know why they keep trying to go out there maybe I'm not smart enough to see the whole picture but I wish I had a super stocker because I would take the chance on the tow if they decided to have another one out there.

It's a shame that more cars didn't show up to support the race, but down here in Florida, we sort of had the same problem at PBIR's IHRA points races. There weren't enough cars to really have a race. It sucked. It's the mentality that it has to be NHRA or nothing. I look at it, if you pay the right entry fee to the amount of the purse offered, I'm in. NHRA, you pay $180 to win $1k, give me a break, the local Saturday night you pay $50 to win $1k. There is something wrong with the picture. IHRA is at least in line with the entry to the purse.

2 things need to happen
1) Classy racers need to understand If it takes a "RE-ENTRY or BUYBACK" to race for 5 grand it's o.k. 2) IHRA needs to remember where it came from , The South not across the Mississippi. Chip Johnson |
