It was all about the racer and nothing else. In fact if you total up the money taken in by Rob and the money paid back to the racer, IT DOES NOT BALANCE, He paid us out MORE money than he took in ..... Find a race that would do that.

COUNT ME IN for 2013..... CLASS ACT race by, CLASS ACT people!

AWESOME ....

If you did not attend (sucks for you) maybe you can figure it out next year what races are important to attend! This is at the top of my list.
X100

Well as most of you know I don't race very often. I attend almost all of them but drive a few times a yr. And I have to say that this was the most fun I've had at a race in quite some time. I've never been to a race where it's all about you and not Alkajunk. There was never any rush to get to the lanes, or to start running. A round was never started until all the cars where present and they gave us plenty of time between rounds to get cooled down and what ever else you needed to do. My hat goes off to Rob and the Dimino Family for working together through 2 schedule changes to get this thing off and running. It was great. Also, when is the last time anyone went to an event and was able to have a 100% FREE TEST AND TUNE the day before the event. AND not to mention a chance to race later that night for a small entry fee and have all the money go back to the racers. Oh yeah and we still got a time shot before eliminations. That is what this race is all about, the RACERS. We all have heard at one time or another someone saying "this sucks, I wasted a day of work to get 1 time run" or " great we got bumped again what else is new". If you took a day off work Friday you could have literally made 20 runs if you wanted to without paying a dime!. The payout that was given was way more than i expected it to be for the amount of cars there were. Which was a nice surprise considering other events barely pay when theres a full field.Even though there weren't many cars, the fact that cars were able to run in 2 classes helped the car count and im glad people did it. Who cares if they dont make weight, we are all shooting for the same dial anyway. I'm all for anything to raise the car count in order to raise the purse. And in case anyone was wondering there were no SG cars in the late Rounds of SST if that makes you feel any better. Anyway Rob and Diminos thanks again for a great race and for all your time and effort that was put into it. I'm sure it had some hiccups but I didnt see any. If you were unable to make it or were supposed to make it and didnt you missed a great time, great track, great people and great payouts. Can't wait til 2013!!!!!!! Rob you'll have my check probably by Wednesday lol. Thanks again

This race was so much fun!!! It was all about us for a change, no bumps for oil downs, weather or any other delays we have to endure at the divisional or nationals. We all have talked for years about how we get treated or how fun the races used to be, and this race reminded me of the way it was when I first started helping Derek. Rob, my hat is off to you and all of the behind the scenes helpers you had along the way. I think I can say with out a doubt, that the great man this event is in honor of was smiling down on all of us. If I only get to pick one race next year, this is the race for me. To the one who missed this one all I can say is too bad for you. You picked the wrong race to skip. Well done Rob, well done.

A great job by both Rob and the Dimino's....And especially the track prep by Mike Sommers !
I had a great time despite breaking a crank on Friday.
And a HUGE thank you to George Smith who offered his spare engine, since my spare motor is apart.
I missed a lot of what was happening on Fri, but Saturday was great!
I got to race at my friend Uncle Buck's Memorial race, and that ment a lot!

Disclaimer: Yes, Rob is one of my best friends but I'd be writing this even if he wasn't.

I 100% agree with what everyone said. If you missed this race, shame on you. I have fun at all races. I fully believe a bad day at the track still beats a good day at work. Even after being laughed at by an NHRA track official for asking about a clean up run at E-Town (yes, I am naive), I shook it off and still had fun because I was doing what I love. For the .90 Nationals, I didn't have to shake anything off, I was just naturally having fun. It was relaxed but not drawn out. And the pit area was very fuel friendly--25 runs between my dad and I and we used probably only 12-13 gallons. The track was great, the people were great, and Bob signing off the day with Sinatra over the loudspeaker was just classic.

My one critique---family members should be exempt from racing each other until the finals.....jk, that was a great race, glad I was in the water box to watch it!!

When was the last time someone thanked you for comming?
When was the last time the starter asked how the track was working for you?
Well this weekend all that happened. We were welcomed to a Nice clean race track that was well prepaired and well groomed all weekend. The bathrooms were always clean without someone sitting at the door wanting your money.Everyone on the staff were pleasent to talk to and helpfull.
Rob did all he could for .90 racers,t-shirts,decals,barbacue,nice trophy, extra shootout race, bigger money than you drive everywhere for. This is what all you guys wish for and where were you?
We had a Great time!!!
Watched some great stock and super stock racing,at a beautiful track, raced with some of the best .90 racers anywhere.Raced three times in one weekend!!!!
Thanks to Rob,The Dimino family, the Donhauser 's for the barbaque, the track prep by Mike Sommers ,and Lee and Brian for the stock and super stock show!!!!!
And saw more old friends than I have in a long time!!!!

Who would think you could have so much fun at a event after paying nothing for an all day test &tune on Firday. Saturday racing was nothing short of awsome! Then top it all off with a great BBQ plus good freinds from all classes. The track was up to the task and gave us some really close rounds of racing. Anyone who was there Thur evening before the sun went down may have seen the double rainbow, how cool was that.
Thanks to all who worked so hard to put on a killer weekend. I want to add a special thanks to Rob for having the vision of doing this type of race for the .90 racers and the hard work it took to see it to the finish.
Next year's Uncle Buck's .90 Nat's ...........sign us up!!!!
