what car is dan running in ss/ia? did he switch the check mate car back to a traditional super stocker?

Yes. Dan is no longer running in the modified classes. Same 69 Camaro, different engine.

wonder why the switch inst there more ss/ia cars then ss/as cars? thought he could avoid going heads up in ss/as

Is he using the 255hp 350 for SS/IA ,the car ran J years ago and he won alot with that combo
