It does make sense to try to get as much racing in as possible before the rain comes, but I just hope it doesn't set a precedent for the future. Indy is already about the only place teardowns happen except for records anymore.

With all the hoopla of new car stuff let us not forget all about old iron ........R/S ? ? Are you kidding me .............This is Tim Weinzapfels' 66 Bel Air wagon who qualified # 48 @ 13 flat . Be proud Tim .........and I'm sure the photogs loved it .That sure is a lot of transfer for a little 283 CID ..........

Lew was right, its the sensor on the balancer for the crankshaft position. It tells the computer crank position for timing and the injectors. We borrowed one from Teuton last night, fixed it in about 10 minutes this morning and tried to make the show as an alternate, but didnt quite make it in. Really sucks because the car was on a low 9.70 pass when it let loose, and would have put us well in the show! Oh well, better luck next year. Good luck to all still in.
