I have used the 1.8th x 1.56 for years.
I do know most (but not all) race cars achieved 75% of their total 1/4 mile mph at the 1/8th mile mark. This is the site I use most of the time: http://www.wallaceracing.com/Calculators.htm

Generally, the larger the ratio, the better the car et's for it's mph.
Example, if your ratio is 1.5 it does not et as well a ratio of 1.6. |
