Lonnie, I have had real good luck with NGK's. I believe that your heads take a 5/8" size plugs? If you are interested I can get you a selection of numbers for you?

I've been using NGK's for years, they run a long time and don't cost much.
R5673-7 is what I use -8 is colder -6 is hotter.
I never have done any plug testing, just have'nt had chance it is on the list

For the original poster's application I would use an Autolite AR24 (5/8' .460 reach). It is in the middle of the heat range. AR25 is hotter and AR23 is colder.

Index it and open the gap up to about .045 if you are using a short duration/intense racing ignition system like a MSD 7AL2. YMMV.

Thumbs up Re: Spark plug recomendation

I've been using Accell plugs for years now. They last me all year usually. Not sure who they are made by but they offer good tuning with a wide heat range. Jim
