Thats right, Mike is the son and driver. Father Bob raced a factory 66 427 Fairlane Super Stocker for a local Ford/Shelby dealership in 66 & 67, he raced in Jr. Stock, and S/S with various Chevys and at least 1 MoPar before he quit racing in the early 70`s. Mike bought the black 67 Fairlane about 10 years ago, it started as a street car, then a bracket racer, and has been running in S/S for the past several years. For a fairly low buck homebuilt car, with small tires and CalTracs, it runs very well. The Nottinghams normally stay pretty close to home, like the Mission LODRS & Nat`l Open races, and Seattle National event. By the way, they run the single 4 barrel version of the 427 engine. For a guy that quit racing for 30 years, Bob didn`t take too long to get back into the swing of things. A great pair of guys.
