That wouldn't affect anything anyway, Robert. You just flip the pitman arm around 180 deg.

Not looking to hijack the thread, but since the 1st Gen Camaro and the '68-74 Nova have essentially the same subframes I figure my question fits the theme here.

I have a S10 box and am planning to use it on a '69 Camaro. I haven't pulled the pitman arm yet but was concerned that the master spline on the box might prevent the arm from simply being turned 180 degrees. From what I've just read here this should not be a problem, right? Is a different rag joint needed to connect to the steering shaft?

Jeff , On most that I've seen, there four spots on the (output) shaft that are blank , or missing one spline. They correspond with the four spots on the arm that are not broached out .They are equidistant , so yes you can flip the arm around.
I have never used an S 10 box, but I would bet the steering shaft could be adapted using factory parts..It's the Vega that has the smaller shaft.

I meant to add: All Saginaw boxes (60's -90's) have the the same bolt pattern to the frame.

Thanks; I knew the bolt pattern was the same but was unsure about the idler arm/rag joint compatibility.
