In 1967, once the NHRA 're-shuffled' the deck.
The GTX 440 was classed in B/S or B/SA = (9.50 - 10.59 Wt/Hp) Class Records, * B/S.............12.50 @ 113.17 MPH * B/SA...........12.97 @ 114.21 MPH If you wanted to run in the new '1967' Super/Stock classes, there was no record in January 1967, but there was a 'minimum' SS/E = (9.48 Wt/Hp and up) * SS/E..........12.50 * SS/EA........13.03 By March 1967, these were adjusted for the appropriate times. |

1967,
Plymouth had plans to dominate the 1967 Stock Class, If you were able to get one in November or December 1966, and sneak to the drag strip, you could get classed in, * 426 'Street Hemi'........... A/S and A/SA * 440 'HiPo'........................C/S and C/SA But, in January 1967, the NHRA 'massaged' the weight breaks,,,,,,,,,, ![]() |
