Why doesn't every competitor in stock and super stock email Bruce with the request to do the same as comp???

I presented a "suggestion" to this effect a couple of years ago. If I remember correctly(?), Bruce was very receptive to it, as was every racer I discussed it with. The powers to be shot it down!!

Hey Guys
I made a request for this at our SRAC meeting this week. There was no interest.
Unless there was a specific plan on how it would work I don't see it going anywhere.
The plan would require very simple parameters and require no weather stations or additional hardware that they do not already have. It will almost have to be calculated off of the top 10 or 15 quailifers much like the Comp rule, if they go very fast and then the targets changes. The problem with that in STK/SS is, no one goes to the stripe if the air is great and they think they can get triggered. If someone does go to the stripe and everyone else does not he just got triggered.
With these mentioned parameters and the collective knowledge of racer on this site maybe someone can come up with a plan they would except.

Thanks
Mike Crutchfield

Comps system is way more brutal, probably shouldnt go in that direction. I hate to say it, but its pretty damn easy to drop your average and not get HP n Stock / Super Stock.

Mark I've found, it isn't that easy. But it can be done

And in Comp, it's not just your engine combo, it's the whole class.

For those of you who want this in S/SS my suggestion is build a Comp Car and stop trying to bastardize our class even more !!!

The problem is the guy that goes fast enough to get a hit can usually afford to take the hit.
It's the guy that never gets to run in "mineshaft" conditions that gets hurt from a hit.
They get hit, then can't make the field at Indy or get beat in a heads-up run.
But that's the way it goes.
Anyone can put a car in bracket mode. But if you blow a class win or a heads up race protecting. You should not be racing.

Mineshaft in Stock / Super Stock is quite simple, just keep it in yer pants big fella. You cant have your cake and eat it too.

I put my Goodyears on and flip a switch. LOL
The FAST XFI holds something like four tuneups. I use two, have a switch on my shifter mount plate. Bracket mode is minus ten degrees and plus 20% WOT fuel from 6500 & up.
Doesn't screw with my lights or my leaves.
