If your not running stock you could just put a 4 link with coil overs or ladder bars with coil overs and get rid of the transverse
The factory trailing arms are not the strongest either There are a few aftermarket trailing arms out there that are nice, Global west for one if you are going to stick to trailing arms If you trying to run something legal in stock then that's different I am just building a stock legal diff for my now A few people on this site were nice enough to show me what they had done in building a stock legal one |

Contact Alf Wiebe. If he will make trailing arms and spring seats for you THAT is the way to go. He built my C-3 (Fred) complete but the trailing arms and the spring setup is the tricky part.

If your not running stock why do you care about their rules ? If your running with a different group I'd get in touch with them directly , try to get them to put it on paper, or did they tell you whatever ?HRA allows ?
It's my understanding you have to use a transverse rear leaf spring . No heim joints on the lower arms and your supposed to use the stock frame mounting points. When you make your new control arms they have to be "accepted" ---Trevor |
