Any of you guy's know the history of the one?
http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/cto/3703624252.html Selling a 1974 Pontiac GTO NHRA Drag Race Car. This was a National Record Holder in NHRA from 1991-1995 in the M/SA class. We are helping an estate sell this vehicle and it has been parked indoors and taken care of for years, same owner since 1996. According to the time slips it runs in the low to mid 13's and is a turn key car, everything is built just like it should. It runs and drives but is obviously not street legal with the slicks on it. Have a notebook that is 4 inches wide of receipts for this car so let us know if you have any questions. Call Tom to set up an appointment to see the car,

That car belonged to Tim Imhoff in Division 7. When Tim ran the car it had a four-speed. I think that Tim lived in Ventura County, relatively near Kenny Duttweiler's shop. I haven't seen Tim in several years but he was always a pleasure to chat with. He had a penchant for unusual combinations, cars that were capable of setting records just about any time he chose. I remember a Pinto station wagon and a turbocharged stocker also.

I really like that car. Wonder how it got up here to the Northwest, and has never been run since?

I think that's the combo Bill Rink runs. Very fast in SS/L & MA. I think he said it wasn't so good in stock....250 in SS and 277 in Stock...whatta deal!
So, you lose 27 HP with a cam, intake, lightweight pistons, crank...go figure. NHRA at its best |
