Good morning members - Well its race day and we here at Atco couldn't ask for a better one .Like they say - nothing but sunshine and blue skies - just a thought but could it be because the original "Rain Man" is working in Houston today ? I'd love to give you a complete weather breakdown but my trusty weather station is back in Pennsylvania resting .Hopefully Ken has his working and will post the great numbers that i'm sure it is again today .

Anyway somewhere around 9 or 9:30 we'll get rolling with our final time shot and move into eliminations ..........

Me ? ? I've got to switch over to Photoshop for a little more work on my "evil twin '' .Seems he been out on the town again ! !

Good morning everyone, I see Jack is on the ball this morning. Its chilly, but going up to 70 today. I have a few more photos and one of the weather for this morning. It will change a little for a first time shot, buts its fast.

I hope to have all the records later on today and will post them.

Ron, Barton did set the record at 9.46. The qualifying sheet was not complete. Not sure about Allegerucci setting the record, but I did see him go a 8.96 in the first round of the Factory Stock Showdown.

An article this morning in our local Wichita Ks. newspaper is about Patterson getting the CC/SA record this weekend at the Great Bend Ks open. Alan indicated he was looking for a 9.30. Should be interesting.

Yea , Allen call me yesterday and said he was going for the record this morning in the COPO. He set his first NHRA record at that track 35 years ago . Go Patterson Power

I will be surprised if the 9.44 CC/SA record last long.

I spoke to 1320go and they said ATCO has not signed up this year - I am not sure what that means - they were on last year - I would think it would be free for the track since 1320go makes money selling the information.

Too bad in this day of instant information

Just talked to Allen. Unless their back up this afternoon is faster, it looks like the new CC/SA Record is going to be a 9.16. I'm waiting for them to email me a data log to see if there is more there. If there is I will email a new tuneup to them for the back up run. Very humid there this morning.

Thanks for the great pics and videos. I really wanted to make it out for this race, but I just couldnt get everything back together... Hell the block is still at the shop getting honed...

On another note, does Garbarine's combo have a lockup torque converter?? Listening to the 'double rpm drop' at the shift in the in-car video it sure sounds like does ??
