Been running the jet dryer off and on, but it's still spittin' off and on just enough to keep us from getting to roll.

So we've gone from "10%" chance of rain this morning to "50%" now through this evening. Looking at the radar, my personal prognostication is currently at 100%, because, well... IT'S RAINING. Not like we've never cussed the weatherman before, but seriously, I don't think they've been in the zip code of correct for quite some time now. Couple rigs have pulled out. A few people are still standing around getting soaked and bench racing. It's settled in over us for a few hours in my estimation, plus dry time, humidity levels, blahblahblah... I don't see anything going down today. Might scoot out and grab some lunch somewheres.

Just announced, stickin' to their guns: "If we don't get anything done today, we will run tomorrow, as originally posted, same run order."
Seen another handful of trailers leave since I posted last.

The big glob of green has broken up a little directly over the track, so we're back to just a little spittin' off and on. The staff isn't going to let any opportunity for granted, and has been out on the tracks with trucks and the zamboni to try to stay ahead of things. Several more rigs have pulled out. Some have jockeyed for position in the pits. There's another stacker rolling out. The war of attrition will be fought amongst the retired and the self employed. Last guy here wins! ;-)

Not brave, merely self-employed. ;-)
The Glob returned with anything from rain to sprinkles (and not the yummy kind mostly associated with ice cream sundaes or cake decorating) again. The sportsman committee was called to the tower. After several minutes, looks like the track staff is heading out. Announcements coming shortly I assume.

Good Luck
To the hardy souls. I am about 100 mile SE and it is finally starting to let up some. 1.5" in the rain gauge last time I looked. |
