And even tries to use the Junior program to justify it.

Great article hope NHRA looks at what was being said and does some reasearch. But knowing NHRA they will not do anything to fix the problem .
Glad to see some one had the balls to speak out. |

I run a low 8 second car in super stock , at a lot of track's I have raced in the last year mostly div races past the 1/8 th mile I'm seeing spike's in my data log on the drive shaft and feel the car moving around .
At the Atco Div1 race a few weeks ago I made one pass then parked the car for safety . I did not wait for any one to wreck. My car was real lose on the top and it was not safe I run a 10in tire and at 165mph it needs to be glued on the top end . As racer"s when we know it's not safe we need to check are ego's and park the car's. I agree with Mr Hughes 100% NHRA could do a better job on the tracks at div races since we are paying customer's NHRA has some highly skilled people working for them , let guy's like Redman prepare the track the way it should be done and they would not have any complaints No racer should die for a badly prepped track

The Problem all the racers do is complain to each other and never have a solution to their complaint to NHRA. We need to complaint about a problem and then offer a solution

At the very least, when you park it or leave the event due to safety issues, make sure the DD knows you are parking or leaving, and why.
Follow up with an polite email to Graham Light and NHRA Tech.

Us pulling our cars back to the lanes is a blessing for NHRA, less cars they have to wait for. Pro Stock or Fuel cars doing the same, now that gets ***** done. Separating us from Pros is not the answer, we currently have 0 fans watching us at divisionals and opens. Also, as outrageous as our entry fees are, they still don't need us! Do you know how much Lucas Oil, Mello Yello, PC Richard, and whoever is on the national event bill for the weekend are paying for this? Enough where they still don't need us for financial support. Ticket sales wouldn't suffer for us not being there, just crew passes. Big deal. I don't watch pros but I go to their pits and talk to them and tell them I race super stock. Had a long talk with Morgan Lucas about it last year at the hotel. I like explaining the class to them, they are the ones that could potentially help us - Imagine the pros standing up for us.. I've emailed ESPN, NHRA, even John Force Racing! Trying to get us better coverage and better acquainted with the average fuel fan but I feel like I am the only one actually trying here. Kyle Ratliff, I do the same thing you do man, that's awesome.. anything to get get people interested in the sportsman categories, keep it up! Last edited by Bobby Fazio; 05-10-2013 at 10:11 AM. |
