It was bad enough when the national events were changed from 4 days to 3 for the same money.
Now a 3 day divisional is changed to a 2 day race for the same money. I like being at the racers and I'll pass on going to this 2 day race. This will be the first No Problem race I've missed. Hopefully this money grab by the track will cost them money in the long run. Jerry Davis 4168 G/SA |

People complain about drawn out 3 day Divisionals and the expense of additional time from work, hotels, meals, etc. and then complain if they make it a 2 day event. Good luck to Trey reading the threads and discerning the best direction to take the Division (and perhaps buck Glendora in the process). I personally think the 3 day races are better if you throw a combo or another race into the mix. Whatever keeps the track owners viable is what should determine the better venue.

Actually, I would be in favor of a Fri/Sat "scheduled" 2 day event. With the possibility of completing it on Sunday if needed. I would like to see the National events ran this way where the Sportsmen are finished on Saturday and leave Sunday to the Pros and Alcohol.
This gives me many more options of an extra day for my weekend to get other stuff done. Or not if the weather takes a turn. I find it easier to miss a Friday from work rather than a Monday. |

I don't remember hearing people complain about drawn out three day races. If you only want to race two days, do what a (very) few do: Simple show up Sat morning. That's what people that can't miss work Friday do. How is that a bad deal?
Already backed mine out of the trailer, parked it in it's bay, and fogged the cylinders with Marvel Mystery Oil. I'll let it sit there a couple of weeks until the Tulsa race. Guess I have time to build another weight bar.

There was a time when 3 days seemed a little drawn out. But with the additions to the schedule (T/D, T/S, index cars, bikes, et al) 2days leaves no room for error either mechanical or Mother Nature.

Trey since stock is the only class with a tire rule, have stock run first, also have stock run in the rotation after some long cars i.e. super comp, comp, or top dragster. The long cars help put rubber back on the starting line and this will help the starting line crew help ready the track for the next round of qualifying.

The Friday, Sat. and Sunday schedule has worked well in the past. Those who can make it on Friday get an extra day to make timed runs, cook out and greet friends. Those that can't, come in Friday nite or early Sat. morning and still get to race. In the past if a track wanted to have a bracket race on Friday they scheduled it after the Div. race. Few seem to participate. I know that I never did due to possible breakage, late nites and the extra cost. I figered if I wanted to bracket race, I could do it a lot closer to home. I would suggest to the new director that before changing things that he discuss it will several of the racers who attend most of the events. In the past if it appeared that it would rain out the Sunday race we held the race Saturday night. Why change what has worked for years? It seems that the intended changes will not be well received. I know that I will stay home rather than chance a rain out. Fuel cost are too high to take that gamble, but if it were a three day race I would assume that within the three days we could complete the Div race.
