I run the 10.5s on my SS car. To get the most out of them you should put them on a 12" rim which may not work for you. It is the same concept as running the 9s on the 10" rim. Best way to get all the tire.

I run my 9's on a 10" rim with really good luck. My current combo will 60 1.30 on kill on small tires. I'm sure it will hook with the 9's, I was just wanting a little more bite.

CJ. It's only what I seen with mine but I noticed a big difference in how the tire "wore" going from 10s to 12s. I run between 17 and 20 psi. With the 10s about an inch of tire on both sides was not getting "wear". Once I went to 12" rims even wear/stickiness post run right across the tire all the way to the sidewall.
Looking back I don't think I was using anymore tire on the track with the 10.5 tires then the 9" tires when mounted on 10" rims
That's on a SS/JA car that 60s in the low 1.30s. Your results may vary of course.

Good luck!

Thanks! I agree the 9" radial on a 10" rim is probably the same footprint as a 10.5 on a 10" rim.

I'm going to use my 9in tires until there worn out.

I am considering going yo 10.5 as well. However, I have been 9.70s in my firebird with 1.24 60 ft with 9" tires. I think they can easily handle 9.50s or faster. I run 22 lbs of air.

Hahaha seems you got a little more motor than I do.

When I first started running radials, I fought traction until I learned how they work and what they like. I've never fought traction issues after I got it dialed in.

I'm sure I will have some data in the near future.
