I for one believe Stock Eliminator has never been more exciting and marketable with the old and new cars, and the young people today will embrace it.
LODRS and National events can be marketed by promoting today's muscle cars vs yesterday's. Agree? |

Danny, you & Randall are both right , you can go a lot faster to the index in S/S than Stock ... Carl & Hurley have done a great job to get to - 5 under in Stock ... The next 3 - 4 are very expensive & limited by the small Carb/ intake /Cam & hot weather ? The 57 (283) is a better combo
if you can get the later intake ... The 55-57 are all Super looking cars ...

sorry wade didnt mean to single you out.. your name was mentioned in a prior post on the thread and well... you are the poster boy for 283's right now
 . yes it appeared in the 90's im sure they meant to supersede 457 but 459 appeared and was in there 7 years or so before don quinn found it and used it on bill belden's 65 chevelle, and of course it will not go away now. we 57-61 283 guys would like to have it ok'd for our use also seems fair... captain jack good luck at indy !
