A "let's get outta here" attitude!

Of all the wasted scaling and fue l check (every time trial, every car?, how about spot checks?) the ONE TIME it's critical, heads up US NATS FINAL, and waved on..?

I believe they were OK, but come on

I was stunned to see that Plourd not only won this final, but won it somewhat easily. I may have missed it in another thread, but does anyone know what happened to McGinley? Did he spin?

I would like to hear the rest of the story also.I thought he might have spun, but it went 1.46,so that is decent.Car seemed to lay down at the 330.I know that car can run A LOT faster than it did in the final and never thought Brad would win without getting a hole shot.
Something may have broke.

That same black Firebird went 11.08 at Indy last year, granted the weather was better. And that 112 mph was off its usual 114+ pace. After seeing the drain pan in the "Live" post I wonder if that could have been a factor in the car laying down and drop in MPH? How much oil was left in the motor?

How do you figure? Same guys would be manning the scales no matter what Division a National was in.

I've had the same thing happen with a heads up at a Divisional Race here in D6.

I totally agree with what Mr Koski said....

When cars are in 2 different classes and they don't make big dial change,in time crunch wave by scales OK, when heads up not OK ,finals at INDY heads up NEVER should that happen.

Actually this did happen at Dallas in 2010. RJ Sledge and I had to run heads up at 5 cars to see who would have the bye run to the final. After turning off, they waved me by, and I stopped to make sure that we didn't have to weigh or fuel. Stock had to make up an extra round that day.

You guys are all wet about this deal and have your shorts in a bunch over nothing --- who in their right mind would be light in a heads-up final round in the biggest race of their life ? ? ? All this after being weighed a zillion times all week ......not a chance ! ! !
