I feel bad for the dogs when the owners bring their dogs up to the stands to watch the cars going down the track. ESPECIALLY while the faster/louder cars, like the Alkies, are running!
The owners never have hearing protection (if it even exists) for their "beloved animal that they treat like their own child!" If it was their human child, you know they would have ear muffs on the kid, & nevermind the fact that a dog's sense of hearing is a million and a half more sensitive than human's! I saw this poor dog in the stands flinch at the hit of the throttle EVERY TIME at a recent divisional race! You ask the owner why they bring their dog to the race, and it's "Oh, he just loves coming to the track," when it's obvious that no, the dog does NOT love coming to the track!
