We just got home from the race. Had a great time at a super competitive race. Lots of .000 to .005 reaction times and dead on runs. My son went out in the first round with a .004 light and an 9.85 (1000 Ft. race) on 9.86 on the brakes. Who ever says a stick car isn't consistant needed to be at MIR this weekend.

There were 71 cars in the first round on Saturday. The second chance race Saturday evening was a Pro Tree/ Dial In Bracket Race that allowed the first, second and third round losers to race a separate race. It was a huge success my view point.

Everyone was talking about a future rail.

Please explain why 1000 ft and not 1/8 or 1/4 mile race rule.

Some of the racers were from the southeast where they race 1/8 mile mostly. MIR reached out to them, and along with the 1/4 mile racers reached that agreement. Royce then installed a MPH clock/photo cell for the 1000 ft timer. Seemed like everyone liked it, not very often you see 71 stick cars these days. Not many NHRA/IHRA Stock or Super/Stock cars there though, hopefully it will catch on.

Bring it to the Midwest there is at least a Dozen cars S/SS plus Ozark Super Shifters plus Outlaws, would be cool at Earlville Iowa.

Mike,

How about a fall race instead of spring? Weather can be very IFFY in the great white north and yes we have had snow that time of year.
