I called MSD head of sales dept to get the scoop , all red control box circuit boards are soldered up with both american & offshore componets including the Black coloured Street series box at the El Paso , Texas location all by hand ( no robots ) , even the harness on a box is constructed by pulling various colors of individual wire & made by hand , only products made offshore are the Chevy HEI Street Fire distributor & Street Fire coils , & if you have ever seen the you tube video ``all `` control boxes built ( not random picking ) are put thu a lengthy heat & cool cycle before packaging to find any defective units , large spools of ignition wire are used to make all wire sets in house , bags of red pellets are dumped into hot mold machines that produce caps & rotors in El Paso
