Yes , its true - both Stock and SuperStock are done for the day .Word is that they are expecting some liquid sunshine later today and thats the reason for the change.

As for the first rounds most racers were very happy with the track prep this morning and the 60's showed it as they were at least .01 faster than yesterday .The weather was similiar to yesterday morning - probably within a hundreth .

So now for many of us its sit around and tell stories of what could have been or was - plenty of good food and adult beverages for the rest of the day .Back a little later with some pit coverage .........

One last thing - those of you thinking my team mate went in the tank are dead wrong as he had me on the tree and broke the rear.Not the way I wanted to win but i'll take it and move on ........like they say a W is a W even if its ugly .

Horensky showed as the winner when this race was run but he was disqualified later for driving past the scales. Fezell was reinstated as the winner of this race.


This seems odd. Ed is a veteran driver.

As opposed to the Salt Lake final run, I can think of several reasonable scenarios for this kind of thing happening.

Although its not a S/SS, I thought it was worth posting this photo. Your looking at Ed Alessi's A/DA dragster. Engine built by Brian Tilburg, best know for many fast S/SS engines. Its a 1400hp plus combo, and the car is a work of art. Ed Alessi from Select Performance also builds many S/SS trans and convertors.
