What rear gear is suggested? I was thinking of a 4.10 or 4.56 with 28" tall tires. . Thanks
Felt a need to apoligize for invading your thread yesterday with my own question GB

Rule book is unclear about rear suspension. Are we allowed to replace the lower control arms and the the track locator bar with aftermarket? And What about Frame connectors ? Also the torque arm. I want it off of the rear of the trans. Are we allowed to build a support for that as long as it is part of the trans crossmember? ? I know I saw a 70s camaro with slapper bars at Norwalk a few years ago so I would assume you can use them for Leaf springs. Thanks Aaron

russell,

If this is a IHRA Pure Stocker. I know Joe Marcinowski out of Cleveland, Ohio ran "bolt in" frame connectors on his late 70's Camaro when he ran P/S. Pretty sure he had slapper bars as well. As far as removing the torque arm on a later Camaro, may have to question someone with IHRA tech info. Contact Mike Baker or the Division Director, they could give you an answer.

Good advice. Mike Baker is usually pretty good about returning emails with such questions. I'm going to guess that everything you asked about is going to be legal.

Let us know when you find something out.

Interested to get the official word. From what I gather some is legal some not. If it has heim ends and is "ultra adjustable" its a red flag in tech. I plan on using the stuff that has poly bushings and appears close to stock. If I can put in a Strange/Moser 12 bolt there has gotta be some leeway. I plan on weld in subframes and a moly 6-point as well.
