You must be new.
All kidding aside. There has been a lot of speculation about whether or not the box "guts" can be replaced or reprogrammed to aide in cheating. Digital Delay debunked this notion on their website a number of years ago but NHRA enforced this rule anyway. Now we have to live with it and buy addition boxes to record RPM.

TD- I have my Tach wire hooked up all the time! I just can't read the counter @ 160 plus without my Glasses !

I'm not smart enough to hook anything up like that. I have heard of a couple boxes that do everything for you but let go of the button. I guess I'm just not smart enough to know which one to buy. Or where to get one for that matter. But wouldn't use it even if I did know where to get one at. Just don't understand how something so simple can be so complicated!!!
