No Tom, I didn't twist your words around, nor jump down your throat. On a thread that basically centered around "cheating", you mentioned spot checks, I agree. But you then chose to highlight how difficult it is to win and that the odds of winning multiple times in a season must be "incredible". Your implication is clear, and that's fine, you're entitled to your opinion. Own it.

I simply stated that NHRA does in fact do spot checks, and that the opportunity is there for you to have my car inspected. That is fact, not veiled innuendo...

Please accept my apologies Dan, there was never intent to reference you in my post. I thought this thread in my first post was about driver aid spot checks not who's cheating? You have my respect traveling the country drag racing for a living, chasing sponsors, collecting contingency winnings must be very stressful. I race because I enjoy the challenge of racing within a defined set of rules that need to include driver aid checks! I have never even come close to winning a national event and likely never will. I get a bigger kick out of class than anything. I could never do what you do ....mostly because I'm just not that good, and the pressure would be far greater than I could stand! I'm sure my cars will be the first to be spot checked, and I'm OK with that. Please have a nice day I hope I have not offended anyone else. Life is far to short to be pissed off!

10 years ago I used to put a folded piece of paper labelled "Cheat Sheet" on my dashboard and lock the car and leave. It drove everyone bongkers! Probably/hopefully, enough for them to lose their focus and most rounds against me, LMAO! I got the local jacket that year!

I consider Tom Nolan as a very good friend of mine and Your assessment of him is very wrong (you don't even know him)> calling people names shows simply the name calling person has really nothing to offer in a discusion . No one brought up Dan,s name except Dan .Tom did not accuse one single person of cheating with a electronic device . Tom Nolan is an asset to this sport, a racer with integrity, passion, and harbours no ill will to anybody. I feel sorry for those who aren't privileged to know him and be in his company. James, you are ignorant.. Look it up in Websters.

Story time.
In 2005 my son and I flogged the family stocker back together after a 6 year layoff and headed to Mission for a divisional race. On the first hit the car fell on it face off the line and didn't even make the index. Tom Nolan was standing by my trailer when I got back to the pit and said "I know what the problem is,"
He fixed the carb problem allowing us to make a personal best pass and qualify for the race. He has been a great help to myself and many others over the years with dedicated passion for S/SS racing. Tom is a stand up guy and I would be supprised if someone who knew him would say anything different.
