That was my motivation with the Achieva. I've done a few more things to the car this year. Too much life keeps getting in the way. Race time just hasn't fit in my schedule. Hopefully next year is better, maybe early spring I can get back to a track.

That was the fun part of it for me. Making a few changes and seeing how the car performed. Slow cars are just as much fun as fast cars, if you approach them the right way. It's also fun when you beat somebody with a decent car or show up some kid in his street car and he comes over and wants to see the car that just beat him.

once upon a time I had a 74 matador coupe with a 304/727....would have made an unusual u/sa car.....too bad a boulder had to go thru the roof.....honest,it did...

no idea if it had potential or not to be competitive..

Tom,
Someone in California a few years ago ran a '74 Matador wagon in U with the 304 - 2V combo. I believe it was posted here in the classified section for sale a while back.
