I ended up with some of his left over parts in the early '80's. The color picture is probably at the "old" Gateway International Raceway in Madison/ East St. Louis, / Fairmont City, IL., or whatever town they were claiming at the time. You can see the spectator cars setting up on top of the canal. The track has been totally rebuilt, and runs the opposite way, and is called Gateway Motorsports Park, and hosts an NHRA National event.
An interesting thing about the parts I got from Lou Biggs, was that some of them came from Lou Brock Dodge in East St. Louis, IL. Lou Brock is the Hall of Fame baseball player for the St. Louis Cardinals, and also owned a Dodge dealership in East St Louis.
I have not seen the 2nd picture of his car, but the color pictures are on page 205 and 206, in this thread.
This is probably just some "worthless knowledge", which I specialize in!
Dan

I also share vast amounts "worthless knowledge" on a few different subjects. I always let the reciever judge the value. ( lol )

Just forgot about this one already being here. So much has been posted it is easier to double up than to search 5 years of postings.

A lot of history here.

Thanks for all these updates guys, This is one of my favorite internet topics. I have a lot of family from Utica Ilion. If I liked cars as a kid and asked to go to the drags, I'd a been in deep trouble, lol.
I hope we can get to the bottom of this. Daryl I hope you follow up on that couple in Ohio with info on every Dart produced. We need an answer.....

I hope you guys will excuse the multiple posts above.

I went through over a thousand archived photos from '70's era east coast
tracks looking for Hemi Darts that I didn't remember ever seeing before.

That's how we're going to solve this. One, just the RIGHT one clue-tip-photo is going to send this investigation to the "closed" file someday.

I have googled Hemi Dart-LO23-68 Dart- 68 Hemi Dart......... and mulitiple combinations of that so many times just to hopefully stumble over some obscure document-picture-article-posting that I have never seen before. It's a great, late night, I can't sleep thing to do. (lol)

But as stated many times, what a great history of LO23 Darts this has become.

Just saw this from Bill Ringer's post on Thunder Road Motorsports Park from years back.
Anyone know the Dart? LO23?

I've been searching for 1977 Oct, Nov. issues of National Dragster that would have coverage of that Bracket Nationals held Sept 24,25 @ York . Anyone?????
