Epoxy primer in satin black. Very durable and easy to touch-up if needed...even use it on the roll bars.

Thanks guys, I figured the por15 was the way to go but seems paint is like asking what oil do you use, lol.

por 15 works best on rust, not clean metal. I would not use that.
I use rattle can paint like mentioned here.
Doing it like that for many years, east touch up.

You might consider powder coating. Really tough stuff.

Powder coat was the initial plan but once it's chipped or scratched it's not as easy to touch up than paint.

If you have a "Mack" dealer in your area use Genuine "Mack black" chassis paint

The problem with POR15 is it needs adhesion promoters that are rarely mentioned by the jobber selling the stuff, and there is no UV protection resulting in a chalky grayish looking color.....

I use an epoxy primer (black in color) and sikkens rallye black, it is a semigloss right out of the can. works great and rinses off with a hose and water, resists brake fluid also..fwiw

Wont hold up to the sun if exposed. We have used it on 2 cars under the carpet, tough as a rock. Napa has a chassis black that can be flattened, it does a good job.
