Default Re: 77/78 ford ltd/ mercury marquis 460

Why? Because it's not a sbc camaro!
I love the odd balls, barges are cool! Stationwagons were what your dad drove (before minivans) and were un-cool until they got popular on the strip. Heck, a caddy or lincoln for a racecar? Who'd a thunk it?

Friend had a new 76 grand marquis/460 when I was a kid and took me for a drive. Stopped and torqued it up then floored it. Shoved me back in the seat and held me there until he let off at 120mph. I fell in love with it right then, I was 12 or so. Looking back it probably took a mile or two, but it was awesome at the time.

I'd love to see a lot more of these built, not just 70's merc's, but like a 76 imperial with a 440 or whatever. Another car I love the look of is a 76 caprice 2 door.

Good luck on the build and yes all ford exh ports suck, just some worse than others.
