Default Re: True story about a "STOCKER"

In the late 70's, my friends and I were hanging out at Burger King, Bethpage , Long Island. It was know for street racing hang out, well a guy pulls in with a 69 Chevell looking for a race. He has street tires with a BB and spray. I told him that I had just bought my 69 Z/28 Camaro, all steel with a spare tire and that it didn't come with mufflers. I flat towed it to BK, where the guy with the Chevell looked it over, showed him that it was all stock and when I took out my 9" slicks he laughed. At the time I was the NHRA national record holder for F/S. The Chevell gave me a car and the break, needless to I could have given him the spot. It wasn't for alot of money, a couple of hundred. I spoke to him after the race, he was truly supprised.
