I think that was the car. Did you see the pigs? LOL
It was an older. ( like '58?) white Vette. Don't know if was Earl's, or a customers. I think I still had my Jr Stocker, so probably 1976 or before.

Earl's Corvette was a '63 driving by the late Rick Kelly. Pete Smith ran out of the Wop Shop with a '62 that was initially white for a very short time until it was painted red. Shileno & Coleman ran a white 58-60 Vette with Paul Parker driving it. Find out a couple of years ago of a current Dallas-area chassis builder who ran a 61-62 Vette in Modified Eliminator. Ed, you would probably know who I am talking about. I have the guy's e-mail somewhere.

I think Pete always took the RPM up to the "sonic" range! I always liked watching him run.

Adger, that is an understatement!! I was on the starting line at LaPlace standing next to his car when he left at just over 11 grand. Pete was hard on those little motors.
