NHRA on ESPN

To the best of my limited knowledge, NHRA buys time from ESPN and is routinely bumped by network execs for other events like cricket or cheerleading. In defense of the cricket match, it was the equivalent of a World Series final game watched by, sadly, way more people than a Lucas Oil Sportsman race. Some people have no taste in entertainment.

The fact that no one watches drag racing is one of the reasons I decided to get out on the track. That's where the fun is.
