Jeff, thank you sir. Vic, thanks for the offer, it was a last minute deal.
Just pulled into the stacking area behind the circle track. Only 50 rigs inline and they are pulling us in as I type. Red is in the house so parking should be a breeze. Parking a day early will make it go so much smoother for the next two days. I don't think there will be much of a wait for anyone. Be back later..... |

Ford powered....hmmm
Not many cars out and only about a 100 rigs here. I did find a few along with Mike Skinner's 2014 AAA/SA Cobra Jet #17 driven by his son Kevin. The new 14's are vey cool and I love the flat black paint. Ford did allot of nice little touches and upgrades from the previous models. The 14's CJ are also very fast right out box, should fun watching the new combo run. I will try to get an in car cam for tomorrow. Tech opens tomorrow and the weather looks great for this weeks race. Going out to get some food, I'll be back with more info tomorrow. |

Right on Ken! I have to believe that you must be having that great GM feeling! Maybe a Mr. Goodwrench tattoo!

Sal, you detailed it well and I will post one tomorrow.
James, I'm okay with anything that has four wheels, but no tattoo's for me. Tom, I don't miss open trailers one bit. Give me a Motorhome and enclosed trailer any day. Now driving a stocker to the track, that could be fun. |

I think the message from Ken about the mh is right on. Since the 50's, I have slept in the race car, in the bed of the tow truck, under the tow truck. My idea now is at least two roof airs, at least an 8500 genset, and adequate beverages. Remember towing hubs? I think you can still buy them.

Sleeping in race cars. No wonder why all of us old farts have bad backs.

I thought I had really arrived when I got my towing hubs. No more pulling/putting in the drive shaft. Take off the tow bar, put on the slicks and race that sucker. First time Carroll Caudle, Pete Peery and myself all went to Pomona together we were all on towing hubs and tow bars. I skipped the open trailer later, and built myself a ramp truck.
